3 reasons to stop drinking instant coffee

“Instant coffee is convenient,” the lovers of this drink will tell you. After all, the kettle boils by itself and it takes a few seconds to just stir a couple of tablespoons of powder or granules in boiling water. Whereas brewing requires a little more time and attention, which, as you know, are in short supply in the morning.

However, there are 3 reasons to think about getting up early and carving out more time to make coffee by brewing rather than dissolving?

1. It contains no more caffeine

Instant coffee is often preferred over whole beans because it is hoped that it contains less caffeine. This, alas, is not so. The caffeine content in instant drink is not much lower: if brewed coffee contains about 80 mg per cup, then instant coffee contains about 60 mg.

Moreover, brewed coffee can contain even less caffeine than instant coffee if it was brewed in a Turkish coffee very quickly and brought to a boil just once.

Yes, caffeine invigorates and gives us the hormone of happiness seratonin, but it also flushes out many vitamins and nutrients from the body, it also dehydrates the body. So the amount of caffeine that has entered the body per day is worth counting. The daily norm is 300 mg per day, it is this amount of caffeine that does not harm a person.

2. Stomach blow

Instant coffee is the most harmful for the stomach – this has been decided recently by most of the world’s scientists. Moreover, drinks different in the processing of coffee beans have the same effect on the body – either powder, granular, or freeze-dried coffee.

And in a drink brewed from ground coffee, the most harmful is the thick, which contains tannins, leading to all of the above processes. Therefore, if you really drink coffee, then only from a coffee maker with a filter, and it is better to use disposable filters.

3. In coffee – not only coffee

Today, instant coffee contains only 15% of natural coffee substances, everything else is impurities that are used to reduce the cost of instant coffee. They “do not hesitate” to add various additives to it: barley, oats, cereals, acorn powder and, of course, coffee husks, stabilizers and artificial caffeine, special flavors are also used.

This is how instant coffee acquires the aroma lost during processing. But all these additives have a negative effect on the human body, and their oversaturation has a toxic effect on the body, serious health problems (disturbances in the work of the heart, liver and stomach).

When to drink coffee

In no case should you drink coffee on an empty stomach. Best of all – an hour after eating.

If you immediately drink coffee with eaten food, then mixing with it, coffee significantly disrupts the process of primary processing of food with stomach enzymes and causes significant harm to digestion.

But already an hour after breakfast, digestion is in full swing and the released hydrochloric acid will be included in the process.

So the most optimal solution is when you have the right breakfast at home, and you brew and drink delicious coffee at work. By the way, in the old days, coffee was served after a meal, while setting a separate table not where they dined, but in another room, was not just a beautiful tradition, but also a tribute to the preservation of health.

Let’s remind, earlier we told how to learn to understand coffee drinks in just a minute.
