Ingeborga Mackintosh fought for four years for the right to adopt this particular child. I achieved my goal, raised a guy. And then trouble struck her.

This woman has chosen a strange fate for herself. Ingeborga devoted her entire life to raising children without parents. Something like a professional guardian. But not everyone has the necessary professional qualities: an abyss of patience, a huge heart, incredible compassion. Ingeborga took care of more than 120 thousand children. Not all at once, of course. She raised everyone, loved everyone. But one of the kids, Jordan, became special for a woman.

“It was love at first sight. As soon as I took him in my arms for the first time, and I immediately understood: this is my baby, my child “, – says Ingeborg.

But, although the woman had an excellent reputation in the guardianship authorities, Jordan was not given to her. The fact is that the biological parents of the boy wanted him to be adopted either by an African American family, or, at worst, by a mixed family. They had been looking for such a family for four years. Not found. It was only then that Jordan was given to Ingeborg.

Now the guy is already quite an adult, he will soon be 30. But he does not forget about the woman who replaced his mother. Years take their toll, Ingeborga began to have health problems. She was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease. The disease is very serious. Ingeborg needed a kidney transplant. Usually it takes months to wait for a donor. But suddenly the woman was told that a suitable one had been found for her! The operation was successful. When I woke up, the first person Ingeborg saw was her adopted son Jordan – dressed in a hospital gown, he was sitting next to her. It turned out that it was he who donated his kidney to his foster mother.

“I didn’t think for a second. Passed tests for compatibility, I was told that I fit, – said Jordan. “It was the least I could do for my mother to show How long I appreciate her. She saved me, I have to save her. I hope I can do more in the future. “

By the way, the operation was performed on the eve of Mother’s Day. It turned out that Jordan really made a very expensive gift.

“I can’t wish for a better son,” says Ingeborga. And it’s hard to disagree with her. Indeed, even among blood relatives, there are few people capable of such sacrifices.
