Berry masks with natural ingredients

Any ripe berries are suitable for cosmetic masks: strawberries, strawberries, apricots, plums – you can list it endlessly. They are all useful, but in order to get a decent result, one must take into account that:

  • All berries are allergenic to one degree or another, therefore, before applying the mask to the face, check its effect on the inner fold of the elbow or behind the ear – this is where we have the most delicate skin. If all is well – the berries can be used on the face, if there is a reaction – it is better not to risk it and try other berries or even abandon this idea.
  • When choosing berries for a mask, consider your skin type:

for normal skin, apricots, grapes, black currants, strawberries and strawberries are suitable

for dry skin, apricot, gooseberry, peach, raspberry, strawberry are ideal

for oily skin: cranberries, plums, strawberries

  • Masks should be done regularly, twice a week, in sessions of 10-15 minutes.
  • It is best to apply the mask before bed.
  • Apply the mask only to previously cleansed skin.
  • The effect of the mask will be stronger if done during bath procedures, when the skin is steamed and the pores are open.
  • It is better to remove all masks not with plain water, but with an infusion of chamomile, cornflowers or linden – this is an additional source of nutrition and moisturizing for your skin.
  • After removing the mask, be sure to apply a nourishing or moisturizing cream to your face.
  • Add the oatmeal, ground into flour, to the berry puree and gently massage your face after applying the mask – you will get a mask with a peeling effect.
  • The nutritional function of berry masks can be enhanced: 5 minutes after applying the mask (when it dries slightly), cover your face with a terry towel, previously moistened with hot water and wrung out.
