Enlarged pores

The pores have many important functions – with their help the skin breathes and receives nutrients; through them, as through channels, sebum, or sebum from the sebaceous glands is transported to the surface of the skin and protects it from drying out. But if there is too much fat, the pores stretch and become a Real Problem. This is usually a genetic predisposition multiplied by:

  • hormonal problems
  • stress,
  • improper diet (a lot of fatty and fried, few vegetables and cereals),
  • insufficient care (sebum is not removed in time, as a result of which the pores become clogged and inflamed).

If you do not pay attention to the problem, it will not dissolve by itself, and your face will more and more resemble a piece of pumice from day to day. Or maasdam. Here are some manipulations to reduce the scale of the disaster.

HOME CARE

The sebaceous glands work smoothly, the cells of the epidermis divide and die, and skin with enlarged pores needs regular care like no other: cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing.

We must, we must wash in the morning and evening. That is, twice a day. And not in order to avoid resemblance to a chimney sweep, but to rid the skin of excess sebum and bacteria that have settled in it. It is better to use milk and gels with aloe, chamomile, lemon, basil, clove, orange essential oils.

After washing, we apply exfoliating agents with glycolic, lactic or salicylic acid to the skin, they regulate the production of sebum and remove the upper layer of dead cells. Mild scrubs can be used 1-2 times a week. But not more often – overdoing it, you can stretch the skin too much and disrupt the work of the sebaceous glands, which will begin to produce sebum with triple enthusiasm.

After all these manipulations, the skin needs generous hydration. If you have oily skin prone to inflammation, use creams and serums with vitamins A, E and C, extracts of chamomile, hawthorn, calendula.

MASKS

Masks can be effective in caring for porous skin. They are done 1-2 times a week, depending on the severity of the problem.

  1. … Gives the skin a matte finish, tightens pores, and regulates sebum production. Mix half a glass of flakes with water to make a thin “porridge”, apply on the face. Rinse off with warm water after 20 minutes.
  2. Relieves inflammation, smoothes the skin, tones, tightens pores. Prepare it following the instructions on the package.
  3. In pharmacies, they usually sell badyagi powder, which is diluted with water to the desired consistency, or ready-made gels. They are applied to the face for 15 minutes. Badyaga perfectly narrows pores, but gives a warming effect and therefore is not suitable for people with rosacea.
  4. Lemon whitens skin, protein tightens pores. Great combination! Whisk the protein into a lather, add half a spoonful of lemon juice and spread the mixture over your face. Rinse off with cool water after 15 minutes.

INTERIOR CARE FOR POROUS SKIN

If home care products are not enough, it makes sense to seek professional help. In the arsenal of cosmetologists there are several effective procedures.

The skin is first steamed, and then enlarged pores are unclogged. If the procedure is done regularly, the pores become narrower over time and become less visible.

To cleanse and tighten pores, beauticians use surface and middle peels. They are based on chemical agents and fruit acids. A milder option is enzyme peeling. Special enzymes in its composition dissolve and remove sebum and smooth the skin. How many sessions you need will be determined by the master. All peels are done in autumn and winter, when the sun is at its lowest.

The laser “vaporizes” the top layer of the skin. The new layer of the epidermis will be smoother and the pores will shrink. The method is quite traumatic, you will have to stock up on time, patience and special creams and ointments.

The face is massaged with tampons with liquid nitrogen, problem areas are worked out with light movements along the massage lines. The manipulation improves skin tone and helps to tighten the pores. This is not an independent procedure, but a supplement to both cleaning and other procedures.
