How to grow a rose from a cut flower: detailed instructions

If you, by all means, decided to necessarily grow a rose from fresh shoots that appeared on the stems of a presented bouquet of roses, then we advise you to follow this simple instruction and soon you will be able to admire a beautiful room rose.

1. To begin with, you should wait until the bouquet is not completely wilted. Then carefully cut the cuttings from the stems so that at least three buds remain on each. It is important to remember that two internodes should remain in each fragment of the shoot.

2. Next, you need to take a sharp blade or knife and make a small oblique cut under the kidney and another straight cut 0,5 cm above the kidney, and if there are leaves, then you must remove the top half, and the bottom one completely.

3. At the next stage, you should take any drug to improve the rooting of plants (sold in a flower shop), read the instructions, properly dilute the solution and lower the cuttings there for 12-14 hours.

4. Then you need to take a pre-prepared pot with ready-made soil for roses (sold in a flower shop), plant the cuttings obliquely so that the middle bud is just above the surface of the ground, and then gently crush the ground around the cuttings with your fingers.

5. Next, take a plastic bottle with an unscrewed cap, cut it in half and cover the top of the handle. It is important that the air temperature is around + 25 ° C.

6. The plant must be sprayed about 6 times a day with water at room temperature (the water must settle). It is best if the soil in the pot is moist (but not sticky to prevent root rot).
