Olga Ushakova showed a country house

The host of Good Morning on Channel One, coming home from work, plunges into … the nineteenth century. Musical evenings in the style of that time are arranged for her daughters.

– When Dasha and Ksyusha changed schools, the question arose about housing closer to her (before that we lived for 9 years in another area of the Moscow region). Long and painfully looking for a suitable option. I was already ready to agree to the one that I did not really like, when suddenly the day before, when it was necessary to make an advance payment for the house, the realtor calls at night and says: “Urgently look at another one, this is what you wanted.” I looked at the photos and thought: it can’t be, well, it’s too good, these are probably just pictures of a design project. But I decided to make sure. And when I saw it, I realized that in reality the house is even better. We first came here in winter, got out of the car and just like in the movie “Home Alone”, when the hero of Macaulay Culkin before Christmas looks at an empty huge house, froze with open mouths. The picture appeared fabulous: a mansion in the style of an Austrian chalet, surrounded by trees, snow is flying in large flakes. The daughters immediately accepted and fell in love with the new home, called it a gingerbread house. For me, their opinion was a priority.

The house has two floors, on the first there is an entrance hall that turns into a living room, a children’s study where the daughters do their homework, a kitchen with a dining room, and a room that we call the salon. She is perhaps our favorite, albeit very small. Here we are going to chat, the girls play the piano, and sometimes they even arrange evenings in the style of the nineteenth century for me: Dasha plays the music, and Ksyusha dances and vice versa. Only the phone on which I shoot them reminds of real time. From this room you can go out onto the street, where there is a large terrace. There we like to have breakfast when it’s warm, play cards, dominoes.

On the second floor there is a sleeping area: three rooms and a playroom, which used to be just a hall. You can’t do without her, otherwise the children will destroy the whole house. The daughters live in the same room, although initially each had its own, but the girls at some point put forward an official protest: “We will live together, that’s all!”

The area around the house is small, but so well planned that there is a garden where you can run and play, and beautiful flower beds, and there was a place for a jacuzzi. Today we took a dip for the first time. Now you only need to buy sun loungers, and you can sunbathe.

– A bath for me is the best way to relax after a working day. I like to lie down for an hour in water with salt, oils, read a book or listen to music. Once upon a time they gave me perfume in a beautiful bottle. The scent was so-so, but the bottle is just a work of art, I left it as a souvenir, and this is how my collection began. I find something myself, something my friends bring. As a rule, interesting bubbles are released for perfumes that you don’t particularly use, they have a specific aroma.

– Reception of guests always takes place at the kitchen table or on the terrace. And our living room is more homey – we love to lie on the sofa here, hugging and watch cartoons. I like that the stairs to the second floor seem to hang in the air, so it doesn’t eat up the space, but only decorates the house. Almost everyone who comes to visit us takes pictures on it. Bichon Frize Lulu has been living with us for three years. They gave Ksyushin a birthday, but the girls share the responsibility for her in half: they take turns feeding, walking, and playing together.

– There are large jewelry boxes in the bedroom. As Coco Chanel said: “People with good taste wear jewelry. Everyone else has to wear gold. ” I have nothing against jewelry, but jewelry can really save any set of clothes. It turns out cheap and cheerful, and there is something new for every publication. But it takes up a lot of space, you have to store it in such boxes.

– I love to cook, but there is not always enough time for this. I will not say that the girls are very eager to help me, rather they behave like a chef: they find a recipe, make a list of products and order, and then they circle around me, try, grab the first cakes. They are more theorists. And the elder Dasha knows all the cookbooks by heart. Ask any recipe and she will tell you!

– When I was little, I learned to play the piano. The teacher beat me on the hands with a ruler so much that she discouraged any desire for musical exercises. But when the daughters began to study, they inspired me to resume lessons. Although notation is much more difficult for an adult.

– It’s great that they came up with coloring books for adults. It is so calming, a kind of meditation. And it tightens, you think that just a little more, and you will come off, but no! We can sit for hours with the children at the table with colored pencils (pictured with 10-year-old Dasha and 9-year-old Ksyusha).

– Girls, like two frogs, can sit in the bath for hours. It’s good that the outdoor jacuzzi is heated all the time. Usually not only children bathe, but also about twenty dolls.

– At the exit from the living room there is a small area where I study. I have been practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga for five years. And we run with children. They are 2,5 kilometers every day, and I’m five.
