What is your relationship with caffeine?

Excess caffeine consumption gradually wears out our adrenal glands and causes fatigue and exhaustion.

When you consume caffeine, whether in coffee or sodas, it artificially stimulates your brain neurons and causes your adrenal glands to produce adrenaline. Adrenaline is what gives you a “blast of energy” with your morning cup of coffee.

Caffeine affects your body like any drug. You start taking it in small doses, but as your body develops a tolerance for it, you need more and more to feel the same effects.

Over the years, caffeine has made your glands produce more adrenaline. Over time, this wears out your adrenal glands more and more. Eventually, your body reaches a point where you can’t go without caffeine, or you’ll experience withdrawal symptoms.

You may have reached the stage where you are consuming caffeine and it doesn’t keep you awake at night, unlike the person who stays up all night even though he only drank a small cup of coffee. Sounds familiar? Your body has become addicted to caffeine stimulation. A cup of coffee a day is probably good. But, if you need more than a cup to feel normal, you’re just promoting adrenal exhaustion. Consider switching to fresh juices instead.
