XNUMX day winter detox

Down with winter hibernation! Spring is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to cleanse your body. Winter detox doesn’t have to be extreme. There is no need to subject the body to harsh cleansing programs that drain you. Now the goal of detox is vivacity, renewal and improvement of appearance. A simple three-day detox plan will help you feel in shape and meet spring fully prepared.

Fundamental rules

For three days, all sugars, alcohols, carbonated drinks, processed foods, grains, gluten are excluded from the diet. Their place is taken by green juices, fruit smoothies and vegetable dishes. The only sweetener that is allowed during this period is liquid stevia – it has a zero glycemic index. It is especially important to drink plenty of pure water, which will help the body get rid of toxins. The key to a detox program is not to deprive yourself of nutrients, but to get enough of them to clean up the body.

After waking up

Take probiotics on an empty stomach with a glass of water to replenish the army of good bacteria in your gut and aid digestion. It is desirable to squeeze lemon juice into the water, it alkalizes the body and adjusts the digestive system for daily work.

Breakfast

Let green juice be the first meal of the day. Chlorophyll oxidizes the body, which encourages toxins to come out. Ideally, such juice should be made only from green vegetables, excluding fruits, except for lemon. The best combination: cabbage, cucumbers, lemon, ginger. But, if you feel like you need more food for breakfast, eat some unsweetened fruits like apples or blueberries.

Dinner

Instead of a hearty lunch that takes a lot of energy to digest, drink a green smoothie. This is a great way to pack a ton of nutrients in one glass. Smoothies will be digested much faster than solid foods, and the internal organs will get a well-deserved respite.

Below we share three delicious ideas for a nutritious green smoothie. Just mix all the ingredients in a powerful blender, sweeten to taste and enjoy!

On the 1 portion:

  • 1-1,5 cups of coconut water
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • ¼ avocado
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • liquid stevia to taste

On the 1 portion:

  • 1-1,5 cups almond milk
  • ½ cup frozen cherries
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • ¼ avocado
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Afternoon snack

If you get hungry between lunch and dinner, snack on chopped raw vegetables like sliced cucumber, celery, bell peppers, or carrots. With severe hunger, you can eat from a quarter to a half of an avocado with sea salt and lemon.

Dinner

Dinner will be the biggest meal of the day. By the end of the day, we no longer need a lot of energy to move, and we can focus on digestion. A large gap between dinner and the next breakfast will make it possible to assimilate everything eaten. Every dinner should start with a big salad. It is prepared from greens and raw vegetables, for satiety, you can add a quarter of an avocado. We will also make a dressing from avocado mixed with lemon juice and liquid stevia, we will get a creamy taste without adding oil.

Another option is cabbage salad. Cut off tough ribs from cabbage leaves, tear into pieces with your hands. Mash kale with avocado quarter, lemon juice, and stevia until leaves are soft. Add any raw vegetables to taste.

The main course for dinner should be simple but satisfying. Let it be a baked potato or pumpkin. Non-starchy vegetables fried without oil, such as broccoli or cauliflower, are acceptable.

Be kind to your body during the detox period. Sleep more, drink plenty of water, treat yourself to a massage. As a result, you will feel fresh and radiant!
