Corn oil in raw, unrefined form is recommended as an auxiliary dietary agent for the prevention and treatment of general and regional atherosclerosis, obesity, obliterating arterial diseases in diabetes mellitus.

Surprisingly, corn oil is equally popular in cosmetics:

  • face masks, hand masks;
  • hair treatment;
  • fight against cellulite.

Corn silk: application

The stigmas are fibers that look like filaments around the cob. They are harvested during the ripening period of the plant. Dried in the open air or on the veranda, spreading out in a thin layer. Store in paper or cloth bags. You can buy dry corn silk at a pharmacy. It is not expensive at all. Expiration date 1 year.

The use of corn stigmas in the form of decoctions and infusions has been known in medicine for a long time. They are used as a choleretic agent. Used for cholecystitis, cholangitis and hepatitis. They are especially effective in case of delayed bile secretion.

Preparations of corn stigmas increase the secretion of bile, reduce its viscosity and the content of bilirubin. Increase the content of prothrombin in the blood and accelerate blood coagulation. Sometimes corn silk is used as a styptic.
