Mothers were told that the son was born dead, and he was found 35 years later

Esperanza Regalado was only 20 years old when she became pregnant with her first child. The young Spanish woman was not married, but this did not frighten her: she was sure that she would be able to raise the child herself. Esperanza was going to give birth in a private clinic in Tenerife, in the city of Las Palmas. The doctor assured the woman that she herself would not be able to give birth, that she needed a cesarean. Esperanza had no reason not to trust the midwife. General anesthesia, darkness, awakening.

“Your child was born dead,” she heard.

Esperanza was beside herself with grief. She asked that the body of the baby be given to her to bury her. She was denied. And the woman was not even allowed to look at her dead son. “We have already cremated him,” they told her. Esperanza never saw her child, dead or alive.

Many years passed, the Spaniard nevertheless got married, gave birth to a son. And then four more. Life went on as usual, and Esperanse was already over fifty. And suddenly she receives a message on Facebook. The sender is unfamiliar to her, but the woman’s legs simply buckled from the lines she read. “Have you ever been to Las Palmas? Did your baby die during childbirth? “

Who is this? Psychic? Or maybe this is someone’s evil prank? But who is interested in playing an elderly woman, recalling the events of 35 years ago?

It turned out that Esperanza was written by her son, the very firstborn, allegedly born dead. His name is Carlos, he was raised by his mom and dad, whom he always considered family. But one day, while sorting out family documents, he came across a copy of a woman’s passport. It seems nothing special, but something made him find this woman. At the end of his search, it turned out that the identity card belonged to his biological mother. Both were stunned: Esperanza learned that she had an adult son. And Carlos – that he has five brothers and a bunch of nephews.

The conclusion was obvious: the doctor specifically persuaded Esperanza to have a caesarean under general anesthesia in order to be able to steal her child. Selling babies to infertile couples is, unfortunately, practiced. For such babies abducted for the sake of selling, even a special term was invented: children of silence.

Now mother and son have finally met and are trying to make up for lost time. Esperanza met another granddaughter, she could not even dream of that. “We live on different islands, but we are still together,” said Esperanza, who still cannot believe that her own son was found.
