Raw food diet: understand the concept

Let’s take a closer look at what is hidden under the now fashionable word “raw food”.

The raw food diet is a food system based on the use of foods that have not undergone heat treatment. As such products, as a rule, fruits and vegetables, berries, all kinds of greens, cereals, nuts and seeds, as well as legumes are considered. In general, everything that can be eaten raw without being subjected to heat treatment. At the same time, there are several types of raw food diet. The first type is a mixed raw food diet (without the use of animal proteins), the preparation of various dishes from raw foods. It can be raw cakes, sushi / rolls, borscht, salads, hamburgers, and much, much more. The second type is paleo-raw food. This is a less strict option when raw, salted and dried fish, as well as raw and dried meat are included in the food. The third type is the strictest, in which mixing incompatible products is not allowed, and any non-vegetarian products are completely excluded from the menu.

Some supporters of this nutrition system are sure that a raw food diet is the path to immortality. In their opinion, raw food treatment allows you to permanently get rid of all existing diseases, and live (not thermally processed) food helps to live in harmony with nature. What is the real benefit of such nutrition?

It is obvious to everyone that during heat treatment (temperature above 42-45 degrees), products lose the maximum amount of useful properties, and some emit additional harmful carcinogens. That is why animals that eat “raw” foods all their lives rarely get sick and have a fair amount of vital energy until the end of their lives.

Fiber, found in vegetables and fruits, is an important ingredient in almost every dietary food system. Its strength is that it quickly fills the stomach and gives a feeling of satiety. At the same time, there are few fats in plant foods.

A raw food diet is a healthy diet also because it allows you to cleanse the body of toxins and other harmful substances in a short period of time. There is scientific evidence that raw, plant-based eaters are less likely to suffer from heart disease, cancer risk, autoimmune disease, bone disease, kidney disease, eye disease, and brain disease. Moreover, more and more information appears on the Internet about miraculous examples of healing people from various “incurable” (according to traditional medicine) diseases.

Eating raw vegetables, fruits, berries, we rid the body of food additives, that is, of chemistry. It also helps to unload the internal organs, cleanse them of accumulated harmful substances. In this case, internal cleaning will occur gradually, naturally. The result of cleansing will be a general improvement of organs and systems. The composition of the blood will improve, which means that organs and systems will receive high-quality nutrition. Cells will begin to renew and rejuvenate. All this will certainly affect your appearance. You will look fresher and younger. Your skin will become healthy and smooth, your eyes will become shiny, your hair structure will improve.
