What to cook with ground beef

Meat dishes are traditionally present on our menu every day. Every housewife knows that you can quickly cook from ground beef, a package or other of which is probably in the freezer. Cutlets, meatballs, meatballs, fillings for dumplings, cabbage rolls and pasties, the most common recipes are passed on from grandmothers and mothers. In fact, there is only one requirement for minced meat – it must be fresh. Therefore, it is best to prepare it yourself or purchase it from trusted suppliers. In many stores, and in markets, a service has appeared – minced meat is prepared from the selected meat in a few minutes. Convenient, practical, worth adopting.

 

What to cook from ground beef is asked by everyone who is going to buy this product. We will present several recipes, both for every day and for a festive table.

Ground beef dumplings with egg

 

Ingredients:

  • Minced beef – 0,4 kg.
  • Potatoes – 1 pcs.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Egg – 9 pcs.
  • Butter – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

Boil, cool and peel 7 eggs. Peel the onions and potatoes, finely grate, mix with one raw egg, minced meat, salt and pepper. Knead the resulting mass well and gently distribute it on each boiled egg in a layer of 1 cm. Dip each dumpling in a beaten egg, breaded in breadcrumbs and put in a greased baking dish. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, cook the dumplings for 20-25 minutes until browning.

“Original” minced beef rolls

Ingredients:

  • Minced beef – 0,5 kg.
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Russian cheese – 70 gr.
  • Wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Tomato – 5 pcs.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 2 teeth
  • Basil – bunch
  • Almonds – 70 gr.
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

Mix eggs with salt, sift flour, add olive oil, gradually pouring in water, knead the dough. The dough should be of medium density. Set the dough aside for 15-20 minutes. Peel the onions, garlic and tomatoes, rinse the basil, chop everything coarsely and chop together with the almonds using a blender. Stir the mixture with the minced meat, add salt and pepper. Roll out the dough 0,3 cm thick, spread the minced meat over the entire surface and roll up the roll. Cut it across into pieces 4-5 cm long, put in a baking dish greased with olive oil in the form of columns, not very tightly to each other. Add a little water to the mold and cook in an oven preheated to 200 degrees, covered with a lid or foil, for 50 minutes. Remove the lid, sprinkle the rolls with grated cheese and put in the oven for another five minutes.

 

Ground beef roll with potato filling

Ingredients:

  • Minced beef – 750 gr.
  • Wheat bread without crust – 3 pieces
  • Beef broth – 1/2 cup + 50 gr.
  • Egg – 1 pcs.
  • Potatoes – 5-7 pcs.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Parsley – 1/2 bunch
  • Canned tomatoes – 250 gr.
  • Parmesan cheese – 100 gr.
  • Mustard – 2 tsp
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Oregano dry – 1 tsp
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

Pour 1/2 cup of broth into slices of bread, let it soak and mix with minced meat, egg, finely chopped onion, oregano, salt and pepper. Transfer the meat mass to baking paper or foil, form a layer 1 cm thick. Wash the potatoes, peel, grate on a coarse grater, mix with grated Parmesan and chopped parsley. Put the filling in the central part of the meat layer, parallel to the long side. Cover the potatoes with minced meat, gently splitting the edges. Transfer to a greased baking dish or a high-rimmed baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees, cook the roll for 40 minutes. For the sauce, grind the tomatoes with a blender, 50 gr. broth and mustard, add salt. Pour sauce over a dish and cook for 10 minutes.

 

Lula from ground beef

Ingredients:

  • Minced beef – 500 gr.
  • Fresh lard – 20 gr.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

For this dish, it is better to make the minced meat yourself, and not in a meat grinder, but in a blender or by chopping the meat with lard with a sharp knife. Chop the onion, mix with minced meat, salt and pepper. With wet hands, form a lula in the form of small sausages, string on wooden skewers and fry in a grill pan, barbecue or bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees until cooked. Serve with herbs, lavash and pomegranate seeds.

 

Ground beef is suitable not only for the everyday menu, it can be used to prepare dishes for a festive table, whether it be a birthday, March 8 or New Year. We offer several recipes that are equally tasty both immediately after cooking and the next day, which is very important, for example, on January 1.

Wellington – ground beef roll

Ingredients:

 
  • Minced beef – 500 gr.
  • Puff pastry – 500 gr. (packaging)
  • Egg – 2 pcs.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Potatoes – 1 pcs.
  • Carrots – 1 pieces.
  • Celery – 1 petiole
  • Garlic – 2 teeth
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Rosemary – 3 branches
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

Peel potatoes and carrots, cut into large cubes, like celery. Chop the onion and garlic. Fry vegetables in olive oil for 5-7 minutes, cool. Mix the minced meat with lightly beaten egg, vegetable mixture, salt and pepper. Defrost the dough, roll it into a rectangular layer, lay the filling along the long side. Form a roll, place on a greased baking sheet and brush well with beaten egg. Bake in preheated to 180 degrees for about an hour.

Ground beef balls

Ingredients:

 
  • Minced beef – 500 gr.
  • Egg – 3 pcs.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Sweet bell pepper – 1 pcs.
  • Puff pastry – 100 gr.
  • Oatmeal – 2 tbsp. l.
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Paprika, marjoram, dried garlic – pinch each
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

Chop the onion, finely chop the pepper, mix with minced meat, egg, oatmeal, spices, pepper and salt. Defrost the dough, roll out thinly and cut into strips. From the minced meat, mold balls the size of a large plum, wrap each with strips of dough. Beat two yolks and dip the balls, put on a greased baking sheet. Cook in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes.

Meat “bread” with egg filling

Ingredients:

  • Minced beef – 700 gr.
  • Minced pork – 300 gr.
  • Egg – 5 pcs.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Wheat bread – 3 slices
  • Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

Pour the bread over with water for 5 minutes, squeeze and mix with minced meat, egg and finely chopped onion, salt and pepper. Boil the remaining eggs, peel. Line a narrow rectangular shape with foil, grease with vegetable oil and put a third of the meat mass in it. Put eggs in the middle along the long side, distribute the rest of the minced meat on top, tamping slightly. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
