Homemade flavored oil recipe
 

Flavored vegetable oil will brighten any dish, especially salad. And presenting a bottle of beautiful fragrant oil as a gift is a great idea! How do you make flavored oil?

You will need: 

  • Olive oil (preferably extra virgin) – 1 liter
  • Spicy herbs (such as oregano) – 3 sprigs
  • Dried chili peppers (small) – 2 pcs. 
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp 
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp
  • Allspice – 1 tsp 

Preparation: 

1. First, sterilize the bottle for future oil.

 

2. Grind the seeds and pepper a little and pour into the bottle, add the peppers there, you can cut them a little with a knife to let the juice go.

3. Pour the oil into the bottle and shake. Mash the greens with your hands and gently lower them into the bottle.

4. Close the bottle and place in the refrigerator to infuse.

The oil will be ready in a week. If you don’t like oil that is too hot, the red peppers can now be taken out.

This aromatized oil can be stuffed with any spices and herbs, but only carefully dried. Because the excess moisture in the oil will give the green light to the development of bacteria over time.
